Justin Gaethje And Charles Oliveira React To Their Losses At UFC 300

Two much loved stars Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira have issued reactions to their respective losses at UFC 300 on Saturday night.

Of course Gaethje fell victim to one of the most incredible KO finishes ever witnessed in the Octagon when Max Holloway sent him face-first onto the canvas with a right hook just 1 second before the final bell to win the ‘BMF’ title, but he seems to be coping well with the devastating defeat so far.

“I’m in great spirits with my family,” Gaethje wrote on X. “Thanks for all the love. What a sport. @BlessedMMA you’re a dog. Congrats. Well deserved double bonus #ufc300.”

For the record Gaethje also earned a $300,000 bonus for ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors despite his loss.

Meanwhile, Charles Oliveira has also issued a statement after he came out on the wrong end of a split-decision verdict in his three-round battle with Armen Tsarukyan earlier on the main card.

“Hello, my family. I just want to thank everyone with all my heart,” Oliveira said in Portuguese on X. “Not every day is going to be a day of glory. It was a hard fight. We had the opportunity to submit or even knock him out, but I couldn’t find myself.

“I got some stitches over my eye, I’m a bit swollen, but I’m fine. I already cried. It’s part of the game. I’m going to move on now. I will return home, be with my family, and start training again. I hope that you will continue to cheer for me because everything I’m going through in life now is wonderful. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“What I can promise is that I will come back stronger. It’s the game, there’s not much to be done. I had a wonderful camp, a wonderful weight cut this week, but that’s it. Today wasn’t the day. It wasn’t meant to be. Thank you. I’m fine, and I’ll come back better.”
