Former Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison once again emerged victorious last night at PFL 8.
Harrison was fighting Genah Fabian in the semi-finals of PFL’s women’s lightweight tournament, and wasted no time in taking the striker to the mat in the opening round.
From there it was all Harrison and she was able to mount Fabian and then rain down sustained ground-and-pound when she gave up her back until the referee stoppage at 4.01mins to deliver the TKO victory.
The win takes Harrison’s record to a perfect 11-0, and she’ll now look to win her second PFL tournament in a row when she goes up against Taylor Guardado, who won her spot in the final with a split decision victory against Mariana Morais earlier in the night.
Meanwhile, Bruno Cappelozza secured his spot in the heavyweight finals with a second round TKO victory over Jamelle Jones, and he’ll now go on to fight Ante Delija, who beat Denis Goltsov by unanimous decision.
