Dana White claimed earlier this week that a former recruit from his Contender Series show has since gone on to make $11 million in the UFC without ever winning a title, leading everyone to speculate who that could be.

After doing some research fans were speculating that it had to be one of the most active fighters on the roster in recent years, Kevin Holland, who has racked up a staggering 29 fights since signing from the Contender Series episode 9 back in August of 2018.

However, when the 33-year-old Holland first caught wind of the story he quickly issued a video denying it was him.

“That fighter’s not me,” Holland said. “I’m just now waking up – I’m telling y’all right now, that fighter’s not me. Don’t listen to that sh*t!”

It seems he’s since changed his mind though as he’s now spoken out in a video accepting that it was him, while bemoaning the fact that he doesn’t have anything like that kind of money sitting in his bank account.

“It’s the $11 million dollar man, and I’m here to tell you one thing right now: I might’ve made $11 million, but after four kids, paying taxes, and getting divorced three times, sh*t’s f*cked up.”

It’s worth stressing here that Holland is far from the norm when it comes to Contender Series recruits, or indeed any other UFC fighter as he chooses to compete far more often than anybody else.

In fact, Holland holds the current all-time UFC record for having the most bouts in a single calendar year, having squeezed in 7 between May 2020 to April 2021.

So it’s not that he’s earning a large amount of money on a per-fight basis during his 16-12 (+1nc) UFC run, but rather that he’s been willing to risk stepping into the Octagon frequently for many years, while so far being lucky enough to steer clear of suffering bad injuries that would force him out for long periods of time.
