Khalil Rountree TKO’s Chris Daukaus In Opening Round At UFC On ESPN 51

Round One:

Odd hammerfist-style strike from Rountree and Daukaus fires back. Rountree again flicking out the jab in an unorthodox fashion.

Nice counter-punch from Rountree now. Daukaus gets caught again by a solid counter from Rountree when he tries to work his own offense.

Dauakaus into the clinch, but Rountree reverse the position. They break apart, but not before Rountree lands a glancing knee upstairs.

Rountree again lands a crushing counter right hand as Daukaus lets his hands go. Now a straight left down the pipe from Rountree floors Daukaus hard.

Rountree follows the dazed Daukaus to the mat and seals the TKO victory with a few more heavy blows at 2.40mins of the opening round.

Rountree made that look easy and may have left Daukaus questioning whether he made the right move dropping down to light-heavyweight. With three losses in a row now though his main concern will be whether he still retains his place on the roster.
