Mackenzie Dern’s next fight will be against former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade at UFC 295 in Madison Square Garden, New York City on November 11th.
The 30-year-old Dern comes into the fight off a decision win over Angela Hill back in May, which earned ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors.
The BJJ ace has been experiencing mixed results in the Octagon over the past couple of years though, having also earned wins over Nina Nunes and Tecia Torres, while suffering losses to Marina Rodriguez and Yan Xiaonan too, leaving her ranked No.8 in the division.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old Andrade is experiencing the worst form of her 36-fight career, having now lost three fights in a row so far this year.
The slump began with a submission loss to Erin Blanchfield in February, followed by a KO defeat against Yan Xiaonan in May, but yet Andrade was again back in action just a couple of weeks ago, suffering a submission defeat against Tatiana Suarez, though she still holds the No.6 place on the 115lb ranking.
Dern vs. Andrade joins a UFC 295 card that will be headlined by a major heavyweight title showdown between current champ Jon Jones and former titleholder Stipe Miocic, with few other bouts having been confirmed for the NYC show yet other than Derek Brunson vs. Roman Dolidze.
