Mairon Santos KO’s Kaan Ofli To Become TUF Winner At UFC On ESPN 62

Mairon Santos demolished Kaan Ofli with a left hook in the 2nd round tonight at UFC On ESPN 62 to become the featherweight TUF 32 winner.

Round One:

Santos with a right hand to start. Ofli presses forward looking to return fire. Knee from Santos. Ofli clinches up but Santos is able to break free.

Nice straight right for Santos as Ofli was coming in. Now a knee strike upstairs that just misses. He circles away.

Punch from Santos but Ofli lands a few punches of his own as he closes the distance and gets back into the clinch against the cage.

Body punch from Ofli. He’s starting to stall now though. A few light knees to the legs exchanged. Elbow strike from Santos and then breaks away.

Front kick to the body from Santos. Now a calf kick that almost knocks Ofli off-balance. Back to the front kick to the midsection now.

Right hand for Santos and then a calf kick does knock Ofli to the mat. He gets back up and Santos resumes chipping away at him with accurate strikes.

Jab for Santos. Right hand and a hook from Ofli now. Santos misses on a jumping kick. Calf kick for Santos and a counter punch from Ofli. Santos threatens with a head kick as the round ends.

Round Two:

Body punch for Santos. Now a couple of calf kicks. Back to the body punches. Calf kick for Ofli. Ofli drives into the clinch against the cage, but Santos breaks free quickly this time.

Body kick for Ofli and then a jumping switch kick to the body from Santos. Now a front kick to the midsection. Back to the calf kick.A jab gets through too. Ofli lands his own jab.

Suddenly Santos unleashes a nasty left hook to the chin and Ofli just immediately shuts down and slumps straight to the canvas. Santos landing a few more punches to make sure, but it’s not necessary, his KO victory is already assured at 1.30mins of the second round!
