Marcin Tybura vs. Blagoy Ivanov Headed To UFC 260

A heavyweight encounter between Marcin Tybura and Blogoy Ivanov is expected to take place at UFC 260 on March 27th in Las Vegas.

35-year-old Polish fighter Tybura is currently enjoying the best form of his five-year UFC run, having strung together four victories in a row.

Impressively, all four came in the space of 11 months in 2020, including three wins on the scorecards against Sergey Spivak, Maxim Grisham and Ben Rothwell.

Last time out Tybura earned a TKO stoppage victory against Greg Hardy, and earned himself a spot on the heavyweight rankings at No.15 heading into his next match-up.

As for the 34-year-old Ivanov, he’s actually coming into this one having suffered back-to-back defeats inside the Octagon against Derrick Lewis and Augusto Sakai.

However, both of those were narrow defeats by way of split decision, and before that the Bulgarian had defeated Tai Tuivasa and Ben Rothwell on the scorecards, so he still holds down the No.13 spot in the rankings.

Tybura vs. Ivanov joins a UFC 260 card that’s headlined by two huge fights, with heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic rematching Francis Ngannou, while featherweight kingpin Alexander Volkanovski goes up against Brian Ortega.
