A light-heavyweight fight between Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Tyson Pedro has been targeted for UFC Fight Night 142 on December 1st in Adelaide, Australia.
The 36-year-old ‘Shogun’ is coming off a first round KO loss to Anthony Smith back in July, but he had been on a three-fight winning streak prior to that, which had seen him claim wins over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Corey Anderson and Gian Villante.
The 27-year-old Pedro also tasted defeat in his last Octagon outing, suffering a submission loss to Ovince Saint Preux. That left him with an overall 3-2 record to date in the UFC, with his wins coming over the likes of Khalil Rountree Jr, Paul Craig and Saperbek Safarov, while he’s also picked up a loss against Ilir Latifi.
‘Shogun’ Vs Pedro joins a UFC Fight Night 142 card that is currently believed to be headlined by a heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa, while Mark Hunt is also expected to have his final UFC fight at the Adelaide show.
