UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance in a new trailer for Vin Diesel’s latest movie, ‘xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage’ which is scheduled for release in January of 2017.
Bisping can be seen at 0.42mins into the trailer, dropping down into an elevator shaft.
The 37 year-old Bisping was recruited for a role in the Hollywood movie to replace Conor McGregor, who had originally been signed up for the part, but had then stepped away from it to focus on training for his rematch with Nate Diaz.
Bisping was actually on set when he received an offer to fight Luke Rockhold for the middleweight title at UFC 199 on less than two weeks notice back in late May.
The UK star accepted the offer and went on to shock the world by knocking out Rockhold in the first round to fulfill his dream of becoming a UFC champion.
Bisping is now set to fight his old rival Dan Henderson at a future UFC event, with ‘The Count’ looking to get revenge after ‘Hendo’ handed him one of the most brutal knockout losses in the history of the sport at UFC 100 in 2009.
As for his acting career, Bisping had a brief recurring role in UK soap, ‘Hollyoaks Later’ in 2010 along with roles in a few low-budget fight flicks, and along with the ‘xXx’ sequel, he’s also now due to appear in the first episode of the TV reboot for ‘Twin Peaks’ and a forthcoming movie, ‘My Name Is Lenny’ about the notorious bareknuckle boxer, Lenny McLean.
