Michael Chandler TKO’s Dan Hooker In Opening Round At UFC 257

EMichael Chandler made an immediate impact in his UFC debut tonight, TKO’ing Dan Hooker in the opening round of UFC 257’s co-main event.

Round One:

Chandler looking to pressure in the opening minute of the fight. Hooker lands a leg kick. Hooker circling on the outside and then lands another low kick.

Front kick to the body for Hooker now. Back to the calf kick. Inside leg kick. Body punch from Chandler. Outside leg kick for Hooker.

Chandler throws a punch, but comes off the upper arm of Hooker. Body punches from Chandler and then one upstairs. A kick now too as he steps up his volume.

Solid leg kick for Hooker. Body punch for Chandler and then a left hook behind it for Chandler and Hooker slumps to the mat! He’s still conscious, but Chandler blasts him with repeated right hands and the ref has seen more than enough and waves the fight off, handing ther former Bellator champ a TKO victory in his UFC debut at 2.30mins of the first round.

So, Chandler is off to a picture-perfect start in his UFC career and will now be homing in on title contention at 155lbs.
