A women’s flyweight fight between Priscila Cachoeira and Sijara Eubanks has been announced for UFC Fight Night 217 on January 14th in Las Vegas.
Cachoeira’s UFC career got off to a bad start with three losses in a row, but against the odds she’s turned things around in the past few years, winning four of her last five fights.
And she’s been winning decisively during that time too, starting with a KO finish of Shana Dobson followed by a TKO of Gina Mazany.
She did then suffer a submission loss against GIllian Robertson to end 2021, but she’s since got back on track this year with a decision victory over Ji Yeon Kim and then most recently her biggest win to date, a 65 second TKO of Ariane Lipski.
Now Cachoeira faces Eubanks, whose had a rougher time of things in the past few years, having lost three of her last four fights.
A TKO victory over Elise Reed was the sole bright spot during that period, with her losses coming against Ketlen Vieira, Pannie Kianzad and most recently a TKO defeat against Melissa Gatto.
Cachoeira vs. Eubanks takes place on a start-of-year UFC Fight Night 217 card that will be headlined by middleweight action as Nassourdine Imavov goes up against Kelvin Gastelum.
