TJ Dillashaw vs. Cory Sandhagen Fight Now Set For UFC Fight Night 192 In July

A postponed fight between TJ Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen has now been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 192 on July 24th.

The bout had originally been scheduled to go down earlier this month as UFC On ESPN 24’s headliner, but was scratched from the line-up after Dillashaw suffered a cut in training due to a headbutt.

The further delay means it’ll now have been two-and-a-half years since Dillashaw last set foot inside the Octagon, with the vast majority of that layoff being due to his two-year USADA suspension for EPO, which also led to him being forced to vacate the bantamweight title.

Regardless of his EPO use prior to his flyweight title showdown with Henry Cejudo, Dillashaw had still ended up losing the fight by TKO in just 32 seconds, ending a four-fight winning streak.

Sandhagen is a tough welcome back for the now 35-year-old Dillashaw as he’s coming off a big TKO finish of Marlon Moraes and knockout of Frankie Edgar, leaving him with a 7-1 UFC record overall.

Dillashaw vs. Sandhagen is now expected to headline the UFC Fight Night 192 event, which will also feature the likes of Aspen Ladd vs. Macy Chiasson, Raphael Assuncao vs. Kyler Phillips and Maycee Barber vs. Miranda Maverick.
