UFC Building Hotel At Headquarters In Las Vegas

The UFC’s ever expanding headquarters in Las Vegas is now going to be getting it’s own hotel according to Dana White.

“I don’t even know if you guys know this, but f—k it, I’ll tell you anyway. We just bought 10 acres over here.” White told the media in attendance after the Contender Series last night. “We just bought some land, 10 more acres of land.

“We’re going to build our own hotel. We’ll be completely self-sufficient,” White said. “Hopefully next year.”

That sounds like a big investment, but White believes that it’s going to save them a lot of money in the future.

“Obviously with what’s going on right now, our own hotel would pay for itself real quickly,” White said, referring to the fact that they are hosting so many UFC events from their own HQ this year after the coronavirus lockdown left them unable to host shows around the country and beyond as easily as they normally would.”

White also stressed that the hotel wouldn’t be for fans or tourists as it’s being speficially built for fighters as well as the UFC’s production crew and other staff.

“It will be more designed for fighters. Just like the Apex was designed for fighting and putting on special events, this place would be designed exactly for what our needs are in a hotel.”

Despite pouring lots of money into their own HQ, White has recently indicated that they also plan to return to Fight Island, Abu Dhabi in the near future due to the fact that it enables them to bring in their international fighters easier to that destination as opposed to Las Vegas.
