Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 136 event in Moscow, Russia the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
A preliminary bout between Petr Yan and Jin Soo Son was marked down for ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors, but due to Son failing to have made weight the night before he was ineligible for a bonus, and as such Yan was simply awarded a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award instead for his decision victory.
That meant there was also three other ‘Peformance Of The Night’ awards on offer and one was snatched up by main event fighter Aleksei Oleinik, who survived some early thunder on the feet from Mark Hunt and then managed to get him to the mat and sink in a rear-naked choke finish.
Also earning a performance bonus was Jan Blachowicz, who impressed in his co-main event fight with Nikita Krylov, craftily managing to tap him out with a second round d’arce choke submission afer a competitive opening round.
The final bonus of the night went to Magomed Ankalaev who produced a first round head kick finish in the prelims against Marcin Prachnio.
