UFC Fight Night 147 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 147 event in London, England the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the main event clash between Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till. The atmosphere was electric for this one and early in the fight Till gave the home fans plenty to cheer about as he dropped ‘Gamebred.’ However, Masvidal was undeterred and despite being outsized he continued to trade with Till and that would eventually pay off for him in the second round when he landed a perfectly placed overhand left followed by another left hook to the temple on the way done that knocked the British fighter out cold in highlight-reel fashion.

Masvidal’s knockout and all-round efforts on the night were so impresive that he also scooped up a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award too, taking his overall bonus winnings to $100,000 in London.

However, due to a backstage incident in which Masvidal threw punches at fellow welterweight Leon Edwards after being heckled by him during a post-fight interview backstage, it’s possible that ‘Gamebred’s’ bonus money could now be at risk.

Also earning a ‘Performance Of The Night’ was Dan Ige, who took just 77 seconds to apply a rear-naked choke finish against Danny Henry in the preliminary portion of last night’s card.
