Watch Heavyweight Daniel Cormier Get Taken Down By 155lb Islam Makhachev

Everybody knows that newly crowned lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is a beast with his wrestling ability, and retired UFC double-champ Daniel Cormier is no exception, having been taken down by him in the training room.

Unfortunately for former light-heavyweight and heavyweight champion, footage of the moment the 155lb Makhachev got him to the mat was caught on camera and made it’s way onto the internet, and now DC’s had to try to make excuses for what happened on his podcast show with Ryan Clark, who was only too eager to tease him about it.

Of course the good-natured Cormier is a revered wrestler in his own right, having placed 4th in the 2004 Olympic games, and also being the U.S. team captain at the 2008 games, while the 43-year-old still coaches wrestling to this very day, in addition to also being a UFC color commentator and analyst.

Now check out DC getting man-handled by Makhachev and his reaction to it below.
