After a few weeks break over the holiday season it’s time to get back to action this coming Saturday night, 14th January with UFC Fight Night 217 kicking off the UFC’s 2023 event calendar from Las Vegas, and we’ve got the full fight card for you below.
In the main event there’s middleweight action as Nassourdine Imavov attempts to build on a three-fight winning streak against Kelvin Gastelum, who didn’t fight last year and is in desperate need of a win after losing five of his last six bouts.
Mid-way through 2020, Dan Ige had amassed a six-fight winning streak, but he’s faltered since, losing four of his last five fights and now will try to turn things around in the co-main event against Damon Jackson, who has won all four of his UFC fights to date.
Coming off a KO win last time out, Punahele Soriano now fights Roman Kopylov, who also claimed a knockout victory last time out after having lost his first two fights in the promotion.
Women’s No.2 ranked bantamweight Ketlen Vieira is also on the main card, looking for her third win in a row as she goes up against Raquel Pennington, who is on a four-fight unbeaten run and is ranked No.5.
Opening up the main card will be the unbeaten bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov, who is 3-0 in the UFC and 15-0 overall, and will look to extend that against Raoni Barcelos, who picked up a win last time out after suffering back-to-back losses beforehand.
