Chris Weidman vs. Eryk Anders Now Moved To UFC 310

A middleweight fight between Chris Weidman and Eryk Anders has now been moved to UFC 310 in Las Vegas on December 10th.

The bout had previously been set for UFC 309 this past weekend in New York City, but was scrapped on short notice after Anders fell ill just before the event began. Now they’ll get another chance to lock horns before the year is over on the final PPV event of 2024.

The 40-year-old Weidman is coming off his first win in four years against Bruno Silva back in March of this year, although it was a result that was considered highly controversial due to the fact that the blows that led to his opponent being unable to continue were on further review shown to have included two eyepokes.

Despite that it was clearly still a cathartic victory for Weidman, who had lost 7 of his last 9 fights, including six via strikes, as well as also having had a long layoff due to a broken leg.

Now he fight the 37-year-old Anders, who has also had mixed results in recent times, going 2-3 in his last five fights, but he did register a unanimous decision victory over Jamie Pickett last time out.

Weidman vs. Anders joins a UFC 310 card that will be headlined by a flyweight title fight between current champion Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Asakura, while Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Ian Machado Garry takes the co-main event spot.
