Former light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will feature on the UFC On FOX 4 main card opposite Ultimate Fighter season 8 winner Ryan Bader it was announced today.
Machida is looking to get back on the horse after being choked unconscious by Jon Jones in an unsuccessful bid to regain his title at UFC 140 late last year.
Surprisingly, the Brazilian, who once stood at the summit of the 205lb weight class with a perfect 16-0 record, has now gone 1-3 in his last four Octagon outings, though his losses all came against top-flight competition.
Bader on the other hand has put together a two-fight winning streak recently, including a win over his most high-profile opponent so far, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson at UFC 144 in Japan earlier this year.
The match-up joins a middleweight fight announced earlier today pitting new signing Hector Lombard Vs Brian Stann on the main card of the fourth FOX event which will take place in Los Angeles on August 4th.
