The UFC have announced that ‘UFC On FOX 4’ on August 4th will feature a heavyweight clash between Travis Browne and ‘Big’ Ben Rothwell.
The fighters are currently climbing up the heavyweight ladder, particularly Browne who’s currently unbeaten in his 13-0-1 professional career, 4-0-1 inside the Octagon and quickly defeated former Strikeforce fighter Chad Griggs with a ‘Submission Of The Night’ arm-triangle choke at UFC 145 last month.
At the same event Rothwell picked up the ‘Knockout Of The Night’ award in his first round victory over Brendan Schaub.
It was certainly the biggest win of his UFC career so far, and coupled with the fact that he turned up in far better shape than we’ve ever seen from him before there’s a feeling now that perhaps he’s ready to fulfill his potential and cast aside some of the lackluster displays that marred his earlier fights in the promotion.
The fight card for ‘UFC On FOX 4’ in Los Angeles is rapidly filling up with a light-heavyweight bout featuring Lyoto Machida Vs Ryan Bader and Hector Lombard Vs Brian Stann already confirmed.
