Matt Mitrione made short work of Phil De Fries at UFC On Fuel TV 9 this evening in Stockholm, Sweden.
De Fries flies in for a takedown from the opening bell, but it’s stuffed by Mitrione.
Then there was a strange moment as De Fries runs in for another takedown just as Mitrione was coming forward resulting in an awkward collision and the momentum knocks De Fries backwards onto the mat.
Mitrione immediately capitalizes with some huge ground and pound strikes, knocking De Fries out in just 19 seconds.
So, a short night’s work for Mitrione and that gets him out of a two-fight losing slump, while De Fries future in the UFC might now be at risk with just one win in his last four fights.
