Travis Browne produced one of the more ununusual knockout finishes of the year against Gabriel Gonzaga tonight at the TUF 17 Finale in Las Vegas.
Browne goes for the high kick immediately, but it whiffs over Gonzaga’s head and the Brazilian goes in looking for the takedown counter.
Browne’s up to his feet though and Gonzaga sticks to him, clinching up against the cage.
Gonzaga still working hard looking for the takedown and Browne drops several big elbows on the side of his head and unexpectedly Gonzaga slumps unconscious to the mat and this one is all over!
It’s rare to see a KO finish with an elbow, but even more so this early in a fight and from what would normally be considered a fairly non-threatening position so all credit to Browne.
