The UFC’s first event on FOX Sports 1 is starting to shape up with word emerging that a heavyweight encounter between Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne is planned for the show in Boston on August 17th.
Overeem will be looking to bounce back from an unexpected KO defeat to Antonio Silva back in February which brought an end to an eight-fight winning streak, while Browne has already returned to form after being defeated by Silva himself last year by claiming a knockout victory over Gabriel Gonzaga last month.
Apparently Overeem Vs Browne won’t be the headliner for the card which suggests that the UFC do still have a big fight up their sleeves for that spot.
Other bouts so far confirmed for UFC On FS1 include Thiago Alves Vs Matt Brown and Joe Lauzon Vs Michael Johnson.
