The UFC 172 event in Baltimore on April 26th is filling up fast with Luke Rockhold now set to fight Tim Boetsch in a match-up that’ll surely find it’s way onto the main card of the pay-per-view show.
After his UFC debut didn’t go according to plan with a KO loss to Vitor Belfort, Former Strikforce middleweight champion Rockhold showed he’s still a major player in the division by then claiming a first round KO win against Costa Philippou last month.
That’s left him ranked 6th in the division, while Boetsch lies just outside the official top 10 at No.11 following a victory over C.B Dollaway that snapped a two-fight losing streak to Mark Munoz and Philippou.
UFC 172’s line-up is now looking strong with a light-heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira fronting the show, while the likes of Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson Vs Phil Davis and Jake Ellenberger Vs Tarec Saffiedine are also set to join Rockhold Vs Boetsch on the bill.
A bout between flyweight fighters Joseph Benavidez and Tim Elliot was also added to the event’s line-up earlier today.
