UFC Fight Night 80 on December 10th in Las Vegas has it’s first match-up in the works with Jim Miller booked to fight former TUF champion Michael Chiesa according to the UFC Tonight show on FOX Sports 1 yesterday.
The event, which will air on the UFC’s Fight Pass subscription service, is the first of three events in three nights with the Thursday night show followed by the TUF 22 Finale on Friday 11th via FOX Sports 1, and then the blockbuster UFC 194: Aldo Vs McGregor event on PPV on the Saturday night.
The 32 year-old Miller recently snapped a two-fight losing streak by outpointing Danny Castillo via split decision at UFC On FOX 16 in July.
Chiesa has also rebounded after a loss to Joe Lauzon last year, with the 27 year-old picking up a unanimous decision victory against Mitch Clarke back in April.
UFC Fight Night 80 currently does not have any other fights scheduled and it’s not clear at this stage where Miller Vs Chiesa will placed on it, though a main card sport is guaranteed.
UFC action is relatively light on the ground in September and October compared to recent months, but things really ramp up towards the end of the year with no less than 7 events squeezed into just over a month between 15th November and 19th December.
