The latest feather in Ronda Rousey’s cap comes from being included in Fortune’s annual ’40 Under 40′ list, a rundown of the 40 people under the age of 40 who are believed to hold the most “power and influence.”
The UFC woman’s bantamweight champion sneaks onto the list at No.40, rubbing shoulders with well known stars like singer Taylor Swift (No.6), television host John Oliver (No.10) and acrtress Jessica Alba (No.16) together with people from various other walks of life, including this year’s No.1, Adam Nuemann who founded ‘WeWork’ and is credited with “bringing start-up culture to Big Business,” and JB Straubel (No.2) who’s the CTO of Tesla.
Most impressively, Rousey is the only sporting star, male or female, to make the top 40 this year.
