Conor McGregor Dropped By Proper No.12 Whiskey; Dee Devlin Speaks Out

The fallout in the aftermath of Conor McGregor losing a sexual assault civil case in Ireland continues with the news that the Proper No.12 Whiskey brand has announced they are cutting ties with the fighter.

McGregor launched the whiskey company back in 2018 at the height of his fame, and it proved to be a massive money-spinner for the star, with he and his business partners raking in $600 million when it was sold to Proximo Spirits in 2021.

The 36-year-old McGregor has since stayed on as a brand ambassador and is often seen promoting it, but Proximo Spirits have now revealed that he will no longer have any association with their products.

“Since 2021, Proximo Spirits has been the 100 percent owner of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey,” the company said in a statement.

“Going forward, we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in the marketing of the brand.”

The news comes after McGregor was also dropped from IO Interactive’s popular video game ‘Hitman’, which had seen him appear as a bonus DLC character, earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, McGregor’s long-time partner and fiancee Dee Devlin has spoken out in support of her husband, despite the fact that while he had denied raping Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in 2018, he had admitted in court that he did have sex with her.

“Conor and I dealt with these issues privately many years ago, as should be done in a relationship and we have come out stronger than ever,” Devlin wrote on Instagram.

“We have four beautiful children now whose smiling faces and happy hearts are a testament to who he is and who we are!”
