Ilir Latifi Brushed Ovince Saint Preux aside tonight at UFC On FOX 28, first dropping him with punches and then choking him out with a guillotine submission when he attempted to stand back up again.
Round One:
Early leg kick from the short, stocky Latifi. Kick to the knee from Latifi as well. Back to the leg kick again. Now OSP lands a side kick to the body.
OSP goes for the body kick again, but misses this time. leg kick for Saint Preux. Latifi chops at his opponent’s leg with a kick and then tries to wade in with a punch, but nothing doing on this occasion.
Head kick attempt from latifi is blocked. left hook just misses from OSP and Latifi also misses with an overhand. Latifi tries to close the distance with a flurry of puches.
Oblique kicks from OSP. Saint Preux attempting to counter with a hook as Latifi charges in with another short flurry. Jab for OSP.
Left hook for Latifi and OSP drops to the mat. Latifi barrels forward to dish out further punishment. Saint Preux in huge trouble here as he tries to stand again and gets clobbered with another huge left hand.
Latifi goes for a guillotine choke and it’s in extremely tight. With his powerful build he cranks on the choke further and OSP slumps to the canvas unconscious, handing ‘The Sledgehammer’ an impressive submission finish at 3.48mins of the first round.
