Ronda Rousey has been exceptionally reluctant to talk about the two brutal losses in the Octagon that effectively ended her career in the MMA and led to a switch to the WWE instead, and that led to some cringeworthy moments during interviews while visiting ESPN HQ yesterday.
The first to experience this was Mike Golic from the ‘Golic and Wingo’ show when he tried to quiz her about her decision to step away from MMA.
Mike Golic: Let’s go back and start when you knew from the, the MMA when you were done there. When you knew in your mind, “I’m not going to fight anymore?”
Ronda Rousey: I never said that.
MG: Ah, so there is a possibility that you could go back, in time?
RR: There’s a possibility that I could go back in time? That’s your question to me?
MG: Go back, in time, and fight. Go back in the Octagon.
RR: I do not have the ability to go back in time, no.
MG: No. Would you fight again?
RR: I don’t know.
Awkward!
There was more to come though as an interview with boxing expert Max Kellerman on ‘First Take’ also backfired when he asked Rousey for her take on why some people were so critical of her performance against Amanda Nunes.

“I experience a lot of people who quote some people that are really just afraid to state their own opinion,” Rousey told Kellerman.
Kellerman then questioned whether that meant Rousey thought he believed she was overrated and went on to insist that was not the case and that he’d stuck up for her after her losses.
“Well, thank you for defending me, I appreciate that,” Rousey replied sarcastically.
