Neil Magny Vs Santiago Ponzinibbio To Headline UFC Fight Night 140

Neil Magny Vs Santiago Ponzinibbio has been unveiled as the headline for UFC Fight Night 140 on November 17th, which will mark the promotion’s first ever visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Magny is coming off back-to-back wins in the welterweight division, having earned a unanimous decision victory over Carlos Condit back in December of last year and then followed that with a win over short-notice replacement Craig White in May.

In total Magny holds a 14-5 UFC record and for his 20th fight in the Octagon he earns his first main event spot on a ‘Fight Night’ card, though he has previously also headlined a TUF Latin America Finale back in 2015.

Ponzinibbio hails from Argentina, which explains his headline status for the event, though his recent record is also deserving of a high-profile bout such as this one, after compiling a six-fight unbeaten stretch in the UFC that includes victories over the likes of Court McGee, Gunnar Nelson and most recently Mike Perry in the final month of 2017.

This will be Ponzinibbio’s first opportunity to headline a UFC show, which also currently has the likes of Cezar Ferreira Vs Tom Breese and Cynthia Calvillo Vs Poliana Botelho attached to it so far.
