Bryan Barberena made short work of Jake Ellenberger tonight at UFC Fight Night 135, TKOing him midway through the first round.
Round One:
One-two for ellenberger to start. Now a low kick. Into the clinch they go and Ellenberger is staying busy and lands a solid strike that gets Barberena’s attention.
Barberena comes forward with strikes, but it doesn’t pay off for him. Leg kick for Ellenberger. Right hook for Ellenberger.
Barberena with a couple of hooks. Chopping right hook from Barberena and Ellenberger wobbles and then goes down as more punches follow.
Ellenberger tries to stand, but get clipped again with an uppercut and a right hand which sends him flopping back down onto the mat. Barberena with ground and pound strikes and Ellenberger has clearly had enough as he turns his back and covers up and the fight is stopped shortly afterwards with 2.26mins on the clock.
That marks Ellenberger’s ninth loss in his last eleven fights and afterwards he announces that this marks the end of his long career.
