Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 155 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion four ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses were dished out on a night of fast finishes in Sacremento.
Needless to say hometown hero Urijah Faber earned a bonus after he came out of retirement at the age of 40 and proceeded to KO Ricky Simon in just 46 seconds with a powerful overhand right and follow-up ground and pound.
Josh Emmett also claimed a performance award for his finish late in the first round against Mirsad Bektic, initially putting him down with a left hand and then not giving him any time to recover on the mat as he blasted away with ground and pound until the TKO stoppage.
Andre Fili also finished things early in the prelims when a right hand sent Sheymon Moraes to the canvas and soon after led to a TKO win.
Bucking the trend, Jonathan Martinez scored his performance bonus with a late finish against Pingyyuan Liu in stunning fashion, catching him with a big knee to the head to secure a knockout victory.
