Beneil Dariush took the fight to Frank Camacho early today at UFC Fight Night 162, landing good strikes on the feet before finishing off the job with a rear-naked choke.
Round One:
Body kick from Dariush in the opening exchange of the fight. Now a right hand for him. He lands a knee to the body and tries to reach for the clinch but doesn’t get it.
Superman punch from Dariush. Nice left hands from Dariush as he puts together a good start on the feet. Now a body kick landing for Dariush. He connects with another.
Left hand for Dariush as he continues to control the stand-up so far – but then he goes for a takedown and lands it. Camacho stands back up, but then Dariush dumps him to the mat again.
Dariush has his back and is going for a rear-naked choke here. Camacho defending for now, but there’s still over three minutes of the round remaining. Dariush squeezing this choke and that’s it Camacho taps out with 2.02mins on the clock.
Very good performance from Dariush here, showing he could get the better of the striker on the feet, before taking him down and submitting him.
