Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 170 event in Brasilia the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a flyweight battle between Maryna Moroz and Mayra Bueno Silva.
This was a competitive scrap and Silva had her moments landing some big strikes, including mounting a late surge, but Moroz was landing with more frequency throughout the fight and she emerged with a unanimous decision victory.
Needless to say, submission king Charles Oliveira won a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus after he was able to catch Kevin Lee in a tight guillotine choke in the third round of the man event.
Also securing a performance bonus on this occasion was co-main event winner Gilbert Burns, who survived an early grappling exchange with Demian Maia and then floored him with a single punch when they got back upright, with the TKO victory being sealed moments later with hammerfists.
