Last week we brought you the story of UFC light-heavyweight star Anthony Smith’s six-minute struggle to subdue a crazed home intruder who entered his family’s home in the dead of night and began screaming at the top of his lungs.
Video footage has now emerged from earlier that night of the same individual attempting to get into another home in the neighborhood, and then yelling as loud as he can in anger after being unsuccessful in doing so.
Smith had previously discussed in an interview on ESPN about how he had been in one of the toughest fights of his life with the man later that night, suspecting that he must have either been on drugs or have a mental illness due to the fact he took the notorious UFC finisher’s best strikes and didn’t stop coming at him.
Thankfully police finally arrived to a grizzly scene, with the intruder’s blood splattered all over the room, while Smith and his young family emerged unscathed.
The assailant was then transported to hospital where he had to be treated for swelling to the brain, among other injuries, but has since recovered.
Smith had been in training to fight Glover Teixeira later this month, but due to the coronavirus pandemic all the UFC’s upcoming events have now been postponed indefinitely.
