$1 million bets: Bellator’s Patricio Freire responds to Dana White’s dismissive comments

On Saturday night UFC President Dana White has claimed he didn’t know enough about Bellator two-weight champion Patricio Freire to comment on him, which has prompted a fiery response from ‘Pitbull’.

Although, White is referring to fighters such as Phil Davis, Ryan Bader, and most recently Corey Anderson who signed to Bellator after losses in the UFC. But Friere’s anger came from when another reporter asked White what he thought about Pitbull as a fighter, to which White said he “honestly couldn’t tell you” what he thought.

And in his response to White’s comment, Patricio Freire said:

“Hi Dana White, I’m the one who destroyed steroids machine Mike Chandler, whom you said deserves a talk, in 61 seconds,” Freire wrote to the UFC president on Twitter. If you send some of your top fighters to Bellator I can do the same to them too. Let’s bet as you did with Pride.

“Any way works fine for me. I’m sure if Dana White and the UFC are open to it Bellator will let me go there fight their champions. I will even personally bet 1 million dollars with White that I win. How does that sound for an incentive?”

Speaking of UFC betting, Gambling 360 has got wholesome of incredible betting odds reviews on their UFC page pertaining to real money online slots and with talks of a potential Freire’s fight in the UFC, it would be impressive to bank on the Brazilian to win his first bout.

Freire has been one of the most recognizable fighters in Bellator’s for much of its existence, compiling an impressive 18-4 record along the way, and the Brazilian has just indicated that in his message. Michael Chandler is one of the Brazilian’s victims, along with others like Emmanuel Sanchez, Daniel Strauss, Pat Curran, Diego Nunes, and Wilson Reis.

Freire, on the other hand, is also enjoying the most successful spell of his career, as he currently holds the event’s featherweight title for the second time in his career, while also simultaneously having won the lightweight belt thanks to a win over the aforementioned Chandler.

The 33-year-old has met a high-profile ex-UFC fighter before when he was lined up as Ben Henderson’s second opponent for the Bellator promotion back in 2016, but on that occasion, he came off second-best, losing out by TKO in the second round.

In all honesty, I think Freire is a top 5 featherweight, no questions asked. Bellator’s FW division has loads of strong talent and he’s beaten everyone pretty comprehensively – Chandler, Sanchez, Archuleta, Nunes, Curran, Corrales, Karakhanyon, Reis x2, Weichel x2, and Straus x3, as well as being undefeated for 5 years. That is a murderer’s row of competition, according to online casino and he has literally nothing else to prove. Given their skillsets and Patricio’s power, I think he’d have a hell of a fight with Volkanovski.
