Major MMA Events In November 2015

After a relatively quiet couple of months on the MMA front things really start to heat up again in November, including UFC events every weekend, two Bellator shows and a WSOF one-night tournament.

Friday, November 6th: Bellator 145 – Vengeance

Where: Missouri, United States

Bellator kick off the month with two title fights, including the headlining featherweight title clash between current champion Patricio Freire and Daniel Straus.

The lightweight belt is also on the line as Will Brooks looks to defend it for a second time when he faces Marcin Held, while Michael Chandler fights David Ricketts and Bobby Lashley goes up against James Thompson.

Saturday, November 7th: UFC Fight Night 77 – Belfort Vs Henderson 3

Where: Sao Paulo, Brazil

MMA legends Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson will battle each other for a third time in the main event of UFC Fight Night 77 on November 7th with each man holding a win over the other.

In the co-main event Glover Teixeira goes up against Patrick Cummins, while rising Brazilian star Ricardo Almeida fights Anthony Birchak.

Saturday, November 15th: UFC 193 – Rousey Vs Holm

Where: Melbourne, Australia

The month’s biggest event is unquestionably UFC 193 with as many as 60-70,000 fans expected to pack into the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne to watch Ronda Rousey’s latest bantamweight title defense against Holly Holm, and if so that would break the UFC’s current attendance record.

Another female star, strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk features in the co-main event against Valerie Letourneau, while there’s also a rematch to one of the greatest heavyweight fights in UFC history as Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva slug it out for a second time.

Friday, November 20th: Bellator 146 – Kato Vs Manhoef

Where: Oklahoma, United States

Coming off a KO stoppage of kickboxing star Joe Schilling in his Bellator debut earlier this year, Hisaki Kato now fights Melvin Manhoef in the main event of Bellator 146.

Wrestler Bubba Jenkins takes the co-main event spot opposite Jordan Parsons, while Houston Alexander also fights on the card against Guilherme Viana.

Friday, November 20th: WSOF 25 – 8 Man Lightweight Tournament

Where:

Arizona, United States

Also taking place on a busy Friday night is World Series Of Fighting’s next event which features a one-night 8 man lightweight tournament.

On the first side of the bracket there’s Luis Palomino Vs Richard Patishnock and Brian Foster Vs Jao Zeferino while the other side features Brian Cobb Vs Mike Ricci and Islam Mamedov Vs Jorge Patino.

Saturday, November 21st: UFC Fight Night 78 – Brown Vs Gastelum

Where: Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The UFC heads back to Mexico on November 21st with the always entertaining Matt Brown competing against former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum in the headline bout.

In the co-main event Diego Sanchez drops down to 145lbs to fight Ricardo Lamas, while potential flyweight title challengers Henry Cejudo and Jussier Da Silva also go to war on the main card.

Saturday, November 28th: UFC Fight Night 79: Henderson Vs Alves

Where: Seoul, South Korea

Rounding off the month the UFC travels to South Korea for the first time and who better to headline the occasion than Ben Henderson who’s mother was born there, and will be fighting at 170lbs against Thiago Alves.

Mirko Cro Cop is back in action in the co-main event competing against Anthony Hamilton and Dong Hyun Kim offers a tough test for Jorge Masvidal.
