Major MMA Events In November 2013

November is an absolutely jam-packed month of major MMA action, so get your calendar at the ready and lets get straight to it…

Saturday, November 2nd – Bellator 106: Chandler Vs Alvarez

Bellator 106 may have lost it’s ‘Rampage’ Vs Ortiz headliner and is no longer on PPV, but it’s still their most stacked show ever and it’s airing free on Spike TV.

The lightweight title rematch between Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez has all the making of a barn burner, not to mention the featherweight title fight between Pat Curran and Daniel Straus, the interim 205lb rematch between ‘King Mo’ and Emanuel Newton, plus Joe Riggs and Mike Bronzoulis scrapping it out to become the ‘Fight Master’ winner.

Wednesday, November 6th – UFC Fight Night 31 (AKA UFC Fight For The Troops 3)

This coming Wednesday night sees the UFC hosting their third ‘Fight For The Troops’ event which will be headlined by Tim Kennedy and Rafael Natal.

The co-main event between Liz Carmouche and Alexis Davis should be a good one, as will Jorge Masvidal Vs Rustam Khabilov.

Friday, November 8th – Bellator 107

Bellator return to their Friday night slot on November 8th with Cheick Kongo making his debut against Peter Graham in the main event.

Also look out for ‘Fight Master’ coach Joe Warren taking on Travis Marx in the season’s bantamweight final, and Brennan Ward Vs Mikkel Parlo concluding the middleweight tournament.

Saturday, November 9th – UFC Fight Night 32: Belfort vs Henderson

It’s back to Brazil for the UFC on November 9th for yet another ‘Fight Night’ card, this time with an enticing headliner featuring Vitor Belfort Vs Dan Henderson in the 205lb division.

TUF: Brazil winner Cezar ‘Mutante’ takes on Daniel Sarafian in the co-main event, while former Strikeforce 205lb champion Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante faces Igor Pokrajac.

Friday, November 15th – Bellator 108

Bellator 108 will now be headlined by Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s debut against another former UFC fighter Joey Beltran.

That alone should be worth tuning in for, but you’ve also got a middleweight title fight between Alexander Shlemenko and Doug Marshall on tap, along with the conclusion of the featherweight tournament as Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire locks horns with Justin Wilcox.

Friday, November 15th – ONE FC 12

ONE FC is back in action during November with their 12th event which is most notable for a welterweight title fight between Adam Shakir Kayoom and Nobutatsu Suzuki.

Saturday, November 16th – UFC 167: GSP Vs Hendricks

November’s biggest event is undoubtedly UFC 167 which marks the promotion’s 20th anniversary and sees Georges St.Pierre aiming to defend his 170lb title yet again against the heavy-handed Johny Hendricks in the main event.

It’s a strong card all-round with Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans occupying the co-main event slot, while Rory MacDonald faces Robbie Lawler, Josh Koscheck squares up to Tyron Woodley and Donald Cerrone fights Evan Dunham.

Friday, November 22nd – Bellator 109

Bellator 109 sees the conclusion of their latest heavyweight tournament, contested by Alexander Volkov and Vitaly Minakov.

Also look out for Matt Riddle who’s done a u-turn after initially announcing his retirement from the sport earlier in the year.

Saturday, November 30th – The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale

The final weekend of the month find the TUF 18 Finale in Las Vegas with a flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez duking it out for a second time to establish who’s the king of the hill.

Gray Maynard Vs Nate Diaz III is also expected to go down at the event, and of course there’ll also be both the men and women’s final from the current season of TUF.
