Amanda Nunes Brimming With Confidence Ahead Of Ronda Rousey Fight

UFC woman’s bantamweight titel holder Amanda Nunes has just been handed her dream fight against Ronda Rousey at UFC 207 on December 30th, and she’s brimming with confidence that she will defeat the former dominant champion.

“I’m 100 percent gonna beat Ronda Rousey — I’m 200 percent!” a clearly excited Nunes told TMZ Sports.

Nunes has good reason to be confident. After all, ‘The Lioness’ is currently on a roll after winning four fights in a row inside the Octagon, taking out the likes of Sara McMann and Valentina Shevchenko along the way, before defeating Miesha Tate to claim the title.

Like Rousey, Nunes is a predatory finisher inside the cage, having won five of her six UFC victories in the first round by either strikes or submission, so she’ll feel she’s got what it takes to emerge victorious regardless of where the fight goes.

Having also proven she can handle being in the spotlight with her win over Tate in the main event of UFC 200, Nunes says she can’t wait to end the year with a bang by going up against a superstar like Rousey with the entire world watching.

“I’m gonna enjoy every single day in this moment of my career,” Nunes said. “It’s the moment I’ve been waiting for, fighting on the big cards like UFC 200. Like I said, I have to defend this belt. It’s a huge show, a huge event.”
