Amanda Nunes Destroys Ronda Rousey In 48 Seconds At UFC 207

Woman’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes put Ronda Rousey to the sword tonight at UFC 207, slaying her in just 48 seconds with a devasatingly accurate display of precision striking.

The main event woman’s bantamweight titel fight is underway in Las Vegas!

Leg kick for Nunes. Nunes putting together a few punches and tags Rousey. Nunes straight punches are hurting Rousey badly here early in the fight. Rousey looks deeply troubled, but the champion is giving her no time to regain her senses.

Terrific accuracy from Nunes and she is completely picking Rousey apart with piston-like strikes down the pipe. Rousey backs up under the pressure and then tries to clinch up, but Nunes brushes her aside and continues landing huge punches that send her staggering into the cage and that’s it, the ref has seen enough and steps in to put ‘Rowdy’ out of her misery.

Rousey is left staggering across the Octagon as Nunes reels off the celebrate an enormous victory that came just 48 seconds into the fight!

That simply couldn’t have gone any better for Nunes, or any worse for Rousey. For a moment there it looked like Rousey was headed for another brutal knockout loss, and in hindsight she’ll no doubt be relieved that the referee stepped in when he did as she was out on her feet.

There was always a feeling heading into this fight that Rousey would probably retire if she didn’t win tonight, but after that particularly brutal 48 seconds of action it’s surely a cast-iron guarantee.
