Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson has been forced to pull out of his World Series Of Fighting 5 headline bout with Mike Kyle after picking up an injury.

Instead, Andrei Arlovski will now step in to fight Kyle at the show on September 14th.

Coincidentally, Johnson fought Arlovski last time out in the WSOF cage and broke his opponents jaw en-route to victory.  Apparently Arlovski’s now fully recovered and will attempt to get back to winning ways, having been on a five fight unbeaten run prior to that tough loss.

A former Strikeforce fighter, Kyle is set to make his WSOF debut at the event and is coming off a KO victory over Travis Wiuff at CFA 11 back in May.

WSOF 5 will also feature the semi-final brackets of a new middleweight tournament starring Dave Branch, Danillo Villefort, Jesse Taylor and Elvis Mutapcic.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
