Bellator 136 Results

Bellator 136 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event Will Brooks successfully defended his lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory (49-46 x3) against Dave Jansen.

Brooks found Jansen to be tougher than he’d anticipated, but he was still able to outstrike him in all but the opening round and had the greater energy reserves in the championship rounds to secure the victory.

Elsewhere, Rafael Carvalho exploited kickboxer Joe Schilling’s relative inexperience on the mat to earn a split decision victory (28-29, 30-27, 29-28), while Marcin Held gave Alexander Sarnavskiy all he could handle in the submission deparment before finally finding a kneebar finish in the final round.

Opening up the main card Tony Johnson did enough to defeat former heavyweight champ Alexander Volkov by split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29) as he opted for a grinding approach against the cage and on the mat.
