Cody Garbrandt Reveals TJ Dillashaw Training KO Video; Dillashaw Responds

For several months UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt has been claiming that he knocked out his rival TJ Dillashaw in training at Team Alpha Male, and just days before they fight at UFC 217 in New York City he’s finally posted the evidence for all the to see.

“This guy is a liar he said I never koed him, that there is no video!” Garbrandt wrote on Instagram alongside the video. “Also that he has never took PEDs and he never cheap shotted a former teammate stealing his dream from under him! Fuck you @tjdillashaw hey @danawhite get that Knockout Bonus Check, I’m ready to collect it!! #ISpeakFacts.

The video is short, grainy and distorted, but Dillashaw’s stance and style are unmistakeable as he misses with an uppercut and is then floored by an overhand right on the counter from Garbrandt as he steps forward to strike again.

Dillashaw has since confirmed that it is him in the footage, but he continues to deny that he was actually knocked out as Garbrandt had claimed.

“Yeah, tell him to keep playing the video,” Dillashaw told MMAjunkie after viewing the clip. “I get up and start going again. There was no KO like he’s been stating.”

There could be some validity to that as the video appears to show Dillashaw bracing himself for the fall after being dropped and the footage then abruptly cuts off before we get a chance to see whether he was able to get back up again.

However, Garbrandt denies that Dillashaw brushed off the strike as easily as he’s making out.

“Lmao he couldn’t even walk after that strike hit him,” Garbrandt told a fan on Twitter. “I would of pounded his skull in.”
