Curtis Blaydes TKO’s Chris Daukaus In 2nd Round At UFC On ESPN 33

Curtis Blaydes opted to stand and trade with Chris Daukaus tonight at UFC On ESPN 33 and it paid off for him in a big way as he floored his opponent early in the second round with a punch and followed up on the mat for a TKO finish.

Round One:

A right and left hand from Daukaus grazes the target. Now a right hand gets through for Daukaus too.

Blaydes fires out with the jab. Now a leg kick for him. Again he lands the leg kick and a punch behind it. Nice right hand from Blaydes there and Daukaus’s knees buckled for a split second.

Feints from Blaydes now. Suddenly Daukaus lets his hand fly in a combination, but nothing lands significantly.

Solid punch lands for Blaydes. Now an inside leg kick from him. Right hand for Blaydes. Jab lands too.

A couple of one-two’s now from Daukaus, who has a little blood leaking from the side of his left eye.

Daukaus comes up short with a knee. Blaydes feeling out with the jab. He steps into a right hand. Daukaus lands a couple of punches as Blaydes connects on a counter.

Daukaus suffers an eyepoke that forces a brief stoppage. The action gets back underway but only a few seconds remaining.

Round Two:

Heavy right hand from Blaydes lands as they throw at the same time and it floors him! Blaydes follows him down and lands some right hands and elbows as Daukaus is on his knees until that flattens him out to seal an impressive TKO finish at 0.17mins of the second round.
