Dominick Reyes Defeats Jared Cannonier By First Round TKO At UFC Fight Night 129

Dominick Reyes made short work of Jared Cannonier tonight at UFC Fight Night 129, finishing him with uppercuts midway through the opening round.

Round One:

leg kick early for Cannonier and he gets caught with a counter punch from Reyes. Both men looking to land offense early.

Reyes with a leg kick. Another kick this time to the body, but he gets knocked off-balance in the process. Reyes going for more leg kicks as Cannonier takes the center of the Octagon.

Reyes dives on a single leg, but Cannonier stufs that and they go back to striking range. Two body kicks for Reyes.

Cannonier looks to press forward, but Reyes lands a series of hooks. Now an uppercut lands for Reyes and he has Cannonier hurt with that as his legs almost give out from under him.

Reyes sees a finish and continues to press forward on the offensive. Cannonier just trying to survive here, but he gets caught with another uppercut and it takes his legs out from under him. He gets back to his feet, but he looked to have powered down for a moment there and the ref decides he’s seen enough, waving off the fight, for a Reyes TKO victory!
