Former UFC Star Chris Lytle Misses Out On Bid For State Senate

Former UFC welterweight star Chris Lytle has failed in his bid to be nominated for state senate in Indiana.

In the end Lytle came in second in a three-horse race for the nomination after taking 30% of the vote, with the winner pulling in 41%.

Responding the result on Twitter Lytle nodded to his MMA roots as he acknowledged, “It was a good fight.”

Lytle retired from the sport of MMA on a high last year with a win over Dan Hardy . He now plans to enjoy spending more time with his family and will continue his career as a fireman.
