Jon Jones Had Two Girls In His Bentley When He Crashed It And Neither Was His Fiancee

This is our original report on the 2012 incident in which Jon Jones crashed his Bentley with two girls inside… neither of which was his wife.

Further details of the car accident that led to UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones being arrested and subsequently pleading guilty to Driving While Intoxicated have emerged, revealing that he had two female companions in his Bentley at the time.

According to Sports Illustrated, a former classmate of Jones, Cara Johnson and another 25 year-old Michelle L. Vojtisek were both in the car when it crashed into a telephone pole in the early hours of May 19th in New York.

A policeman who was in attendance at the scene of the accident noted that Jones had, “slurred speech and glassy bloodshot eyes,” but politely refused a sobriety test.

Jones has a fiancee, Jessie Moses and two young daughters at home, so whether there’s an innocent explanation for it or not, being caught drink driving with two girls at that time of night certainly doesn’t do a lot for the fighter’s prior ‘squeaky-clean’ image.

It should be noted however that Miss Moses was at Jones side on Monday as he plead guilty to DWI, resulting in his license being suspended. He now faces a further court date next month in which he’s expected to receive a fine along with a conditional discharge.

As a side note to all this, it turns out that this isn’t the first time Jones has been in trouble with the police.

It’s emerged that just seven months ago Jones was cited for driving with a suspended license in New Mexico, though the case was later dismissed, and he was also cited for “unsafe passing” after a car accident in New York back in 2009.

So far Jones has been keeping a low profile about this whole situation, but he’s got a big fight with Dan Henderson coming up in September so he’s going to have to surface eventually and he’s going to have some tough questions to answer when he does.
