Jon Jones Vows To Take Title From Francis Ngannou

Since Francis Ngannou won the heavyweight title recently, Jon Jones has been focusing heavily on the financial side of the deal that would be required to put a superfight between them together.

However, in his latest social media posts, Jones appears to have changed his tune, and has now made it very clear that he still has Ngannou firmly in his sights and has vowed to wrench the heavyweight title from his grasp.

“Ran through the light heavyweight division on talent, about to run through the heavyweight division like dominoes off pure hard work,” Jones stated on Twitter.

“Motivate me more @francis_ngannou,” he continued.

“The greatest title in the world is coming back to the greatest country in the world.

If you think you are going to run through America, you are wrong.”

Ngannou wasn’t impressed by Jones outburst though.

“I shouldn’t have to motivate you Jonny…if it’s not in you already you’ve already lost,” Ngannou responded.  “I know my motivation.”

“Oh you know what’s inside of me @francis_ngannou,” Jones fired back.  “You’ve never seen me quit.

Pray you knock me out because if you don’t I’m going to break you, and that’s a promise

@francis_ngannou.”
Jones verbal sparring with Ngannou comes just days after he split from his long-time manager Malki Kawa, but it remains to be seen whether all the talk will actually lead to the title showdown coming any closer to actually being made.
