Khabib Nurmagomedov Offers Tony Ferguson $200,000 To Fight Him

Khabib Nurmagomedov is putting his money where his mouth is by offering Tony Ferguson a huge sum of money in order to convince him to put a contract dispute with the UFC to one side and sign up to fight him.

A fight between the two top ranked contenders had appeared to be on the cards, but talks have stalled since Ferguson demanded that he make the same amount of money as his opponent, and with the UFC playing hard ball, Nurmagomedov has stepped up to the plate.

Hey @TonyFergusonXT, if the @ufc don’t want to pay you, I’ll pay you 200k extra on your purse,” the 22-0 Nurmagomedov wrote on Twitter. “Let’s make this fight. Now you have no excuse.”

However, speaking on The MMA Hour show with Ariel Helwani yesterday, Ferguson who’s on a nine-fight winning streak, quickly turned down the Russian star’s generous offer.

“If you’ve got Khabib willing to sacrifice his life and give me $200,000 of his own money, something’s wrong with that sh*t,” Ferguson stated. “I’m not going to take that guy’s money. He’s got a family too. So do I, and he’s got bills to pay. So I’m not going after Khabib’s. All I want is my stuff right and to be compensated for what my numbers prove to be, so let’s go kids.

“Let’s take a chance on a kid, you know? Two fighters that deserve a chance. Let’s do this.
