Lyman Good Flagged For Potential USADA Violation

Lyman Good is the latest UFC fighter to have been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation.

Good was tested out-of-competition on October 14th which led to a positive test for an as-yet unnamed substance.

Good is a former Bellator welterweight champion who had compiled an 8-3 record for the promotion.

After leaving Bellator, Good attempted to enter the UFC via TUF Season 19, but lost fight fight to get into the house.

However, Good finally got his back break when he was drafted in as a short-notice replacement at UFC Fight Night 71 last year, picking up a KO win over Andrew Craig in his debut.

The 31 year-old had been scheduled to fight Belal Muhammed at UFC 205 in November, but he’s now been pulled from the fight.

Read the UFC’s statement on Good’s potential anti-doping violation below.

“USADA has provisionally suspended Good based on the potential anti-doping violation. USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information or UFC statements will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”
